Hi Everyone<br />
Since It's Christmas and time to write my annual note..... Robin is the writer, its time to do it, so touight this was the place to do it.<br />
Its been an interesting year for Robin and I as we have been to Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana and of course Salt Lake City more time than we want to count, to accomplish our mission calling. We have had great experience working with members and non church members, leaders, and participants in the self reliance garden programs. What an experience as beneficiaries have sat and told us how the gardens have changed their lives: many talk about how they are getting off of alcohol problems, having better health, increasing family time, becoming active in the church and on and on because they are out working in their gardens rather than sitting on the couch drinking etc. Ya get a little tired of hotels and restaurant food, but the company is always great.<br />
Always seems like the planning of the Lord is so far ahead of us as every time we needed to be home or somewhere, it was always fitting in just perfectly, such as coming home early because we were done in Belize just in time for Robin to spend the last afternoon with her mom before she died. We came home because of change in plans this fall to get home the day before we had a broken water line, and things like this happen all the time.<br />
All of the boys are home (in the US) again which always makes us happy, and we got a picture of the all in their dress blues for the first time. If I can figure it out or get the expert, I'll include it.<br />

Here is Joshua's facebook statement about the picture.</div>
</div>
Many of you are my Brothers in arms, let me introduce you to my brothers by blood as well as brothers in arms and the man who gave us life. From Left to right, 1LT Jeremiah O'Crowley, served 6 years in AD got out as a SSG, went to College <span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;">and is now a Signal Officer. My father Dana O'Crowley on the right side of me has tried to join several times but God said no (no one else would have said no when you have a perfectly healthy young man volunteer to go to Vietnam several different times during the Vietnam war), so he serves in other ways and supports our troops and our family, never have I seen a more ardent patriot walk this land. On the far right is my youngest brother Jacob O'Crowley an 88M in direct support of the 19th SF Group out of SLC, Utah has served for four years and is looking at changing branches to 18 series. We have over 10 deployments to foreign countries between us and over seven years of that in a combat zone. This was the first time in seven years that one of us wasn't deployed somewhere that we could get together and take a picture. Ladies and gentlemen my Father and Brothers.</span></div>
<br />
<br />
Was sure glad to hear Heather's up-beet report on Marks condition, and pray it continues.<br />
<br />
As far as the kids: Rachel is still a pharmacy tech in Salt Lake, Jess is still working at the Uof U in the cardiac department as a Nurse Practitioner, Josh and family are still in Alaska, but will probably be moving next year with another assignment, Jer just got home from Afghanistan, and lives with his family in Colorado Springs, Co, Jake moved his family to Tooele, Utah where they bought a house. so Vernal is just us now, but we are only here (sometimes) or should I say we have been gone more than we have been home.<br />
<br />
Here are some pictures of the kids and their families.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Hi all,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I thought I would share this post with </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
you as it has pictures of our family.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enjoy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been wanting to make a family wall for quite sometime now.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I set aside an old project display</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
from our store, and wanted to update it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It has been set aside for YEARS!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There always seem to be others things going on</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that were more important than this.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I even cleared off the wall that it would go on over a year ago,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and alas, it has just come to fruitation this week!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
it is so awesome.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguMaOvKmZC9-kox5vPXMW8Mr_YQWbh_U5UuOXB3xy7r5o6GXIdvbOHab3YMRtC46lziM5fW4UvsrtbYrcMDUjZwnPCvNSdk1K80vJjy5qoSZvB8rd5g_vHUz0a0NDSG55CV9JlpS-cAfVf/s1600/family+wall+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="498" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguMaOvKmZC9-kox5vPXMW8Mr_YQWbh_U5UuOXB3xy7r5o6GXIdvbOHab3YMRtC46lziM5fW4UvsrtbYrcMDUjZwnPCvNSdk1K80vJjy5qoSZvB8rd5g_vHUz0a0NDSG55CV9JlpS-cAfVf/s640/family+wall+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is the wall all finished with my projects completed on the wall.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now, some of these items you will remember from previous posts. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The "O" beaded with dew drops</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The O'Crowley wall hanging</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And now the Family Picture Canvas Project.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is how it looked when I started.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYKhnWsyCHxvL-css8mgdX-3xC2zjS3xDC-8RLYtEO4eKFY8i3Ak1RbTz6VEEN3IWZuXy_yeYmk7Bh22PlKEIAjEBhFk0vf684nnPIjHUWkMu_yVgayAxFqZIwf48_bozZMk9QDqOsu9im/s1600/IMG_8356.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYKhnWsyCHxvL-css8mgdX-3xC2zjS3xDC-8RLYtEO4eKFY8i3Ak1RbTz6VEEN3IWZuXy_yeYmk7Bh22PlKEIAjEBhFk0vf684nnPIjHUWkMu_yVgayAxFqZIwf48_bozZMk9QDqOsu9im/s320/IMG_8356.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had old photos on this, and papers, and removed all of these, this is 4 </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
separate canvas squares and 3 are screwed onto the largest square.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWCih6TKHBr4Igbl0Iq59wLr_mS7E8MblEQ0fGDH_gK4q9ESFDeHkbvcrHptG_YzZEh91X26gZ4hDW2cRQQR993psLFrH2qe_eOeVWhidxJ4SG6-TU3eWoSof0MTRi-Hghk4vNSz1vmPl5/s1600/IMG_8359.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWCih6TKHBr4Igbl0Iq59wLr_mS7E8MblEQ0fGDH_gK4q9ESFDeHkbvcrHptG_YzZEh91X26gZ4hDW2cRQQR993psLFrH2qe_eOeVWhidxJ4SG6-TU3eWoSof0MTRi-Hghk4vNSz1vmPl5/s320/IMG_8359.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I selected my color scheme, and painted the large canvas black, then used a retired foil stamped</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
cardstock sheet for my base of the bottom canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I chose gold, black, and tan as my colors.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYAL1xfN1IK0Ncxyv-uZGQFgjxF3JcTEuKztIvOUmWybGuxttjP6IWQGEYe4Z1QS5LVRo0Ibwd_49LsszE6Xaeu4AzVQBQ_-O3xXQvIYQVzLvzsmdaxvXE2LnerrbSKvNYZagJDP262OSg/s1600/IMG_8362.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYAL1xfN1IK0Ncxyv-uZGQFgjxF3JcTEuKztIvOUmWybGuxttjP6IWQGEYe4Z1QS5LVRo0Ibwd_49LsszE6Xaeu4AzVQBQ_-O3xXQvIYQVzLvzsmdaxvXE2LnerrbSKvNYZagJDP262OSg/s320/IMG_8362.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then cut my selected papers to cover each canvas, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and adhered them to the canvas squares. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then the fun begins.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Papers used so far:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Honeycomb Fleur</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ancient Map</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Gold Glitter on Black Fleur</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then after all the embellishments and photos are added, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the multi-media canvas wall hanging</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
becomes complete.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieaAWXNaecLFx6AblPKvpk-SqVd0swmo1EqLvr1P5XetP575RusKtXCEK5onz7XLCW2MdKVNsQnUK_v0cba__4TEN1LqqV6ljHs4FJChxqjr2IFaUmpyBp_ItQ42dbocss-WW7QZtDHq0E/s1600/family+wall+11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieaAWXNaecLFx6AblPKvpk-SqVd0swmo1EqLvr1P5XetP575RusKtXCEK5onz7XLCW2MdKVNsQnUK_v0cba__4TEN1LqqV6ljHs4FJChxqjr2IFaUmpyBp_ItQ42dbocss-WW7QZtDHq0E/s640/family+wall+11.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here it is completed. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added another canvas off to the side on the left.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with the center of the canvas with Dana and I as the center of our family.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This section actually was embellished last.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But as you can see, I have added things that I </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
have saved over time. Not all items </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
are from scrapbook supplies, some items are</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
just shapes that I like and have found to be perfect for this project.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCWNv-fninrJFRnt4xDpa955NJyTg5Sc0tv2oTuPLLRlVi8AT3w5JmrXPPYtkCfXP6zkF2bHTB8klawI4ABQKrLA5YqAKdX68laJ-gfD7Ck5qWgx2ClAnnwlNaWqiWYLG-3fDx-PBVSYu2/s1600/IMG_8696.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCWNv-fninrJFRnt4xDpa955NJyTg5Sc0tv2oTuPLLRlVi8AT3w5JmrXPPYtkCfXP6zkF2bHTB8klawI4ABQKrLA5YqAKdX68laJ-gfD7Ck5qWgx2ClAnnwlNaWqiWYLG-3fDx-PBVSYu2/s640/IMG_8696.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then each of our family was added to the smaller canvas'. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Each of the family photos on the canvas are hooked to our </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Fleur Paper Clips,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
this way I can change the photos as a new photo is taken.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a metal strip on this canvas, added dew drops, and a shape</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
die cut from Black glitter chipboard.<br />
The Fleur de lis is cut from mat board and embellished<br />
with dew drops.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUbgD3BNmx3_PY0eTcxGBsIklEBOLTvrEFHxpkJEDEwfcOxBibdzdGzmPCJJajX7bXV0LaudV6lobjcWYBENigF2jbzNLfpk3BPPPoJLLzKp4w9mh9N_CM_TtbweuoHw2HQ_SJ6-_KvzbP/s1600/family+wall+10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="420" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUbgD3BNmx3_PY0eTcxGBsIklEBOLTvrEFHxpkJEDEwfcOxBibdzdGzmPCJJajX7bXV0LaudV6lobjcWYBENigF2jbzNLfpk3BPPPoJLLzKp4w9mh9N_CM_TtbweuoHw2HQ_SJ6-_KvzbP/s640/family+wall+10.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is Jeremiah and Tara's Family, they have one more boy.<br />
<div>
The "O" is placed on a shield and covered with dew drops. </div>
<div>
On the shield I used the Viva La France Rub on</div>
<div>
The shield and the Fleur de lis is cut from mat board (framing supplies)</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

out to visit her this week, so I'm hoping for a new photo.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The last family photo they have, I can't find, it was on my office wall in Ethiopia.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Gold on Black Classic Swirl, Brown Animal, Clock CS Sheets, Classified</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sticker, and Dew drops.</div>

under it.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, embellishments can come from anywhere.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used a silver mini frame and put Gold Classic Swirl then a square</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
punched from Glitter Black Chipboard and a Love necklace pendant.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Black glitter shape is cut from Spellbinders die out</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
of Glitter Black Chipboard and a tiny gold heart in the corner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The fleur on this used to be my key chain, but broke</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have saved it for some special project, and this just was a perfect match.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizHQVJQAtZiO6Un6z30x9Dqhv2u4Ai500YQUSFAh_ZrQyEGFapu5qFhZPlAXbychga5x-B0Vk3GZnyz2WwtG8M5TR4FVYrxwHKirQIHqqZ5ntXiycgYJpJuZtvEQA21SS_SP7ygerjV1Rf/s1600/family+wall+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizHQVJQAtZiO6Un6z30x9Dqhv2u4Ai500YQUSFAh_ZrQyEGFapu5qFhZPlAXbychga5x-B0Vk3GZnyz2WwtG8M5TR4FVYrxwHKirQIHqqZ5ntXiycgYJpJuZtvEQA21SS_SP7ygerjV1Rf/s640/family+wall+2.jpg" width="614" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You don't have to live inside the box. On the top of the large canvas, I placed</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
this oval clock sticker from the Classified Sticker.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is place over the top of the canvas, so part of it is on top of the canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I edged it with mini brown dew drops.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhMrSYUFToK3cFxaZih8UjDNuOXpG5GsFANQKHM7i8zrKMpNTgldA3tHNk_OEAut6BKLw98oZ6X3s2VosFoQy0ycvOr69zYhyphenhyphenuw8g_rIOEGYOKAmLNy2N7z5G0tMIrir-s3Yzpis17K4Iy/s1600/family+wall+11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhMrSYUFToK3cFxaZih8UjDNuOXpG5GsFANQKHM7i8zrKMpNTgldA3tHNk_OEAut6BKLw98oZ6X3s2VosFoQy0ycvOr69zYhyphenhyphenuw8g_rIOEGYOKAmLNy2N7z5G0tMIrir-s3Yzpis17K4Iy/s640/family+wall+11.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So again, the completed project!<br />
Finally, I have my family wall to walk past and see our family<br />
EVERY DAY!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the bottom left corner of the</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
large canvas, is Jessiciah. She is a lone member of her family, so to add her</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
on the bottom of the big canvas was perfect. I taped her on with metal tape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOyCQLqr03X9-cSi_j-0k05G0-pqpg5Nm3RfF1wQrVS-UNAQRwmmSr7ytnYT7GtCZRK1TNADqIKEgUzk1QhOzPnCwlMqN7CWb3N0wF0D_3nk0r5vzufOGv-XBmOHNksHMZUbm3O_-yFbw7/s1600/family+wall+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="498" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOyCQLqr03X9-cSi_j-0k05G0-pqpg5Nm3RfF1wQrVS-UNAQRwmmSr7ytnYT7GtCZRK1TNADqIKEgUzk1QhOzPnCwlMqN7CWb3N0wF0D_3nk0r5vzufOGv-XBmOHNksHMZUbm3O_-yFbw7/s640/family+wall+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And now in my home, my family wall,<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I want to find a small chair to hang on the wall.<br />
This is to represent no empty chairs<br />
in Heaven.to the wall<br />
.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My sign, It's all about the "O" represents the things</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
our family does, "done the O'Crowley way".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Robyn made this for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You may see it again sometime with dew drops added to it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Remember, my personal blog is<br />
robinscreationsofjoy.blogspot.com<br />
come visit me there!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Hugs to all of you!</div>
<div>
Have a great and awesome day.</div>

<br />
Well Dana has been bugging me ever since we got home from our Europe trip to put some stuff on the Family Blog.<br />
<br />
First off I have to say a big THANK YOU to Mark and Heather. They made our trip so nice and so easy for us, all we had to do was show up and they had planned everything.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLr2R_TJULoUbGhZa56WWYwsv4YuQEWzkCy7_mnHcGuAqvX8_ONZG1KrKftldF54AkE5P6UMh_SUcyW6tP82fy07n6BdrSGXPiZXihWlQU_BFDI3J5G6aaDoRD3YmQfn_RWfJ0lE9OP5Vd/s1600/DSC_0068.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLr2R_TJULoUbGhZa56WWYwsv4YuQEWzkCy7_mnHcGuAqvX8_ONZG1KrKftldF54AkE5P6UMh_SUcyW6tP82fy07n6BdrSGXPiZXihWlQU_BFDI3J5G6aaDoRD3YmQfn_RWfJ0lE9OP5Vd/s200/DSC_0068.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpD-MzCaBIAtZbnWKGw5ykfrRRWZScMaO1b3bcmyFMwqUotYTJ5xoVii4tgaNYzP8jZimtVAjFOvd8B5fncdv-Usg78LM0Y-InCjARbL_swcmB15v272L7fmTFOhOVBvLZEFiEe0OlG-UW/s1600/CSC_0028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpD-MzCaBIAtZbnWKGw5ykfrRRWZScMaO1b3bcmyFMwqUotYTJ5xoVii4tgaNYzP8jZimtVAjFOvd8B5fncdv-Usg78LM0Y-InCjARbL_swcmB15v272L7fmTFOhOVBvLZEFiEe0OlG-UW/s320/CSC_0028.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We left Phx and May 22nd at 11:55 pm and flew to Philly and then on to Frankfurt, the flights went really well considering we were flying "stand by". That is because Brittni works for US Airway and thank heavens for that because it was much cheaper. We arrived in Frankfurt and then took the train to Stuttgart. We finally got to Mark and Heathers about noon and the 24th so we did celebrate Heather's Birthday that night. <br />
24 May - Arrival / Resting-up at our home / Dinner at home to celebrate Heather's Birthday<br />
The next day we went to the flea market in Stuttgart and Ludwig Palace, our first taste of "wow it was good to be the king" sites that we visited in Europe.<br />

It really is me Tim not to much help from Susan even, a little of course but it is fathers day. Well we have been having guests here this spring. They haven't all been coming here just for the guestranch experience but hey we'll take anybody that wants to come and stay and give us money. We have had several missionary conversations while guests have been here so I think that we are doing somewhat what we should be doing. For those who don't know already, Seth and Garrity are expecting a little boy in Oct. We are excited to get another grandson.<br />
The last bunch of grand kids here left me a little present. I never found it until several days after they left, but I finally found it PINK EYE bless their pee picking little hearts. Of course I was also willing to share it so now Suz is enjoying the gift also. It seems it is a gift that just keeps on giving. <br />
I was up on the rims just behind the house the other day and found some neat places to go rapelling. I think all of Dana's boys could probably rig us up along those lines. <br />
This is going to be another shocker to everyone, We have a blog of our own if anybody is interested. It will be attached to our web site eventually but for now you can get to it at oregonguestranch.com/blog/. Three of Suz's neices came and stayed with us for a few days and got us all hooked up. I hope to keep it updated a whole lot better than I have this blog spot.<br />
We have been sealing the outside of our house the last couple of weeks. I know that seems like a long time to seal our house and no it is not that big. I just had the usual break down intreuptions that require a trip or two to town,and town being as far away as it is we don't get there everyday. probably once a month is even stretching it a bit. Anyay that is the reason it is takeing us so long.<br />
As I don't want to bore everyone too much I'll sign off for now hope this finds everyone doing great. Have a GREAT day Tim Tim and Susan O'Crowleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05732890305789595784noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1053616329762445418.post-92082652505418382013-03-10T23:02:00.001-06:002013-03-10T23:02:46.147-06:00Belize trip been there and back<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Hi Family<br />
I'm going to shock you all, and write my own (without Robins help, except to get into this thing)<br />
We have returned from our church assignment in Guatemala and Belize, and what a wonderful trip it was.<br />
Besides the weather was just wonderful, 70 degrees or so most all the time, never got rained on, didn't get to hot, and snow was forgotten, our experience with those members of the church in those little branches was fantastic.<br />
They sent us down there for approximately seven weeks to help start self reliance food programs in some of the units in Central America, expecting it to go much like it has in other areas where we have to teach and help the priesthood get on board, etc. Well we were done and still had almost three weeks left. so when we communicated with SLC and told them we were done, they hardly believed us at first and asked a lot of questions, but after explaining where we were at, they decided we should come home a couple of weeks early.<br />
The priesthood was so willing to take on the projects, even after we had to go in and tell them that this was no giveaway program where they were going to just get something for raising their hand like has happened in the past with this program.<br />
We took a different approach: we met with the priesthood leaders and explained the program, then spend a few days going around and seeing what we could find of resources that the members had in their own area. Then we met with the priesthood and those members wanting to be a part of the garden and chicken program. Those meetings were life changing. We spent a lot of time going through President Ukdorffs conference message of Oct 2011 of providing in the Lords way. we went through it almost line by line covering how it related to them individually. When I got done with that Robin would go through with them what was in their Local Lords store house. When I asked what was the Lords storehouse they would answer that they didn't have one, but by the time I was done and Robin was done when they answered, it was we have all these talents, we can do this or that, the were teaching their own classes, and running their own show, using their own talents, and realized their Lords store house was just as big as anyone Else's.<br />
What a powerful talk to use on the principles of self reliance, how it changed attitudes and desires. When we met with person over all temporal affairs for Central America he just kept saying could you come back and keep teaching this as he was amazed when we told him we had these people doing these gardens, etc, and never mentioned money, projects for them or anything. It was so awesome watching them as true principles were being taught and accepted. We pray they will just keep going with the attitude they had when we left.<br />
We would be working at one place and right across the road or river would be a Mayan ruin, so we got to climb lots of those ruins too. One reminded me of the SL temple a lot as it was built on different levels, each raising above the last. The one at Tekal was the one used in Star wars, was fun to stand on top of it and see the view as seen in the movie.<br />
We worked with some wonderful men who are the leaders of the projects and priesthood there, have to say I wish we north Americans had a little more of their attitude.<br />
Got home, reported to those over us and were just getting ready to go to Vernal tomorrow, but Robins Mom just got taken to the hospital emergency with some phamonia type something, so will be in SLC for a little longer. We will get home soon we hope.<br />
Jeremiah is doing great in Afganistan, his wife Tara is due in three or four weeks, Jake just got back from Texas on an Army assignment, and Josh just got sent to Mississippi I think for some kind of training. No grass gets a chance to grow under the feet of this part of the O'Crowley family. ( ok the speller just quite on this program, so your on your own for the rest)<br />
Grandkids are doing great, Jakes youngest started walking at seven months and is now terrarizing things and still has a few weeks to turn a year, so serves Jake right, sorry for Britney his wife.<br />
Josh's Gabe just to the priesthood, and daughter Ally just turned that sweet sixteen. All the rest of the thirteen and 3/4 are doing just fine. <br />
Hope this finds all of you doing great. <br />
Love ya all<br />

Lilly went to state basketball and they came home with the consolation prize. Kc will be graduating from college this spring. Connor is working at college but majoring in karina, I think! Charlie is finishing up his first year of college and starting to work on his mission papers. Jonathan and Lisa are expecting a little girl in July. I'm excited for the blanket I'm making her, too! Amy and jake are doing well with their little family. We don't have too much to complain about. Life is moving forward, and that is good. Hope everyone the best of a new season. Hello family,<br />
<br />
We are working hard, teaching Self Reliance, and showing how the local members can use their own and community resources to become such. It had been very rewarding this last few weeks, and must admit love the warm weather while we are here. <br />
We have climbed many ancient Temples, and are astounded at the greatness of theses buildings. The people live in the humblest of circumstances, and yet we are showing them how to make things stretch farther with some effort and work. <br />
They look very Mayan and you can just imagine all of this land covered in Book of Mormon people, but mostly what we now see are post Book of Mormon. <br />
Love this mission call for sure, we feel so blessed for all of this hands on learning!<br />
<br />
Hugs from Belize,<br />

I decided I would take a little time to learn how to post something and to subscribe so that the new posts come to our email.<br />
<br />
We just put Dan on the airplane yesterday morning to begin his mission. He will be serving in Houston Texas. ("Houston, we have a problem" :) Every time I think I am going to start crying, I try to remember how excited I am for him. He has been home the last month and we have been working like crazy on our house.<br />

Hey everyone,<br />
<br />
Just thought we would tell you we will be on assignment with our mission call from Feb 6-March 21. We will be working on Guatemala and in Belize. We will see how easy it is to blog while we are there, in Ethiopia it was near impossible, but we will do our best to keep you updated on what we are doing and where we are at. <br />
<br />
We will think of you in the warm weather. <br />
<br />
Hugs.<br />

<br />
Jeremiah and his family live in Colorado. Tara and him have 4 sons, and another on the way. We decided that we would visit them the week of New Years, giving us time during school holiday to have time with the older boys.<br />

<br />
<br />
We helped them move to Colorado last May into their home where they are starting a new part of their lives after Jer graduating from UVU. The move was a feat all in itself, and the house they found was so nice after a year and a half in a tiny apartment.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Weston</div>
<br />
For us to come back and see them all moved in and settled was quite fun. Braxton loves his new big back yard, digging for treasures in the dirt is his favorite. Weston was a newborn when they moved, so to see his growth crawling up and now down the stairs, walking around all the furniture, and opening cupboards and unloading them, just such joy for us to experience. It was also fun to see Jeremiah with his boys. A father interacting with his children, holding Weston when he was tired and ready for bed, while he fell asleep in his arms singing his little boy song. It is always fun to see first hand how the children you raised love the children they are raising. The interaction with their own children, teaching, talking, loving.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMNfWOdj_AqYpKtuhYuzr9IL7pUOorksP7H_Wtw02HOOzEb9eCcP31QDBBTFXJRzBoj1SUl5poqz6uMep5HZf2zGbtXZuKrwW-h6xix4lIwXT1pL3xj1_SfENslIvhAJPTrH0Zi0_ddzRv/s1600/IMG_5300.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMNfWOdj_AqYpKtuhYuzr9IL7pUOorksP7H_Wtw02HOOzEb9eCcP31QDBBTFXJRzBoj1SUl5poqz6uMep5HZf2zGbtXZuKrwW-h6xix4lIwXT1pL3xj1_SfENslIvhAJPTrH0Zi0_ddzRv/s400/IMG_5300.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Braxton</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
We brought with us a fun activity to do with the older boys. I found Star Wars snowflake templates on the internet, and we printed them out, after an hour of figuring out how to make them large enough to cut, we started our cutting activity. A card table was set up in the living room just for our snowflakes, scissors, paper, and excitement. It really was a feat. There are some really small parts to cut on those snowflakes, but with duo help we made these snowflakes. I was using an exacto knife to get the eyes, ears, and mouth cut out. Tara and Braxton were cutting partners and Porter and Tyson cut the outside edges out by themselves, and we created some fabulous snowflakes! Porter just kept going, he even started designing his own snowflakes. It was a hit! We all had fun.<br />

Our biggest surprise was Weston, and how much he looks like his grandpa. I thought, mmm, he looks like him now, his eyes, his cheesy smile, the shape of his face. But, when we arrived home, a few days later I found a framed picture of Dana as a baby, and I'm not sure there is much of Tara in that boy. Those are very true O'Crowley genes in that boy for sure.<br />

Weston, Dana, Braxton, Jeremiah</div>
Dana and Jer spent most of their time together working on little things in the house, just fixing here and there. Dana loves to have projects to do all the time. This is just what and who he is. So there were light fixtures changed, doorways framed, and just bonding going on. Braxton had his little tool box out, hammer, screwdriver, helping along the way. He too is a busy little boy, and talk! No one can talk as much as Braxton, well it seems that way.<br />

Had to put a new battery in the car, just couldn't keep jumping it! We spent Christmas in Pocatello and surprised Charlie. He had to work and we didn't tell him we were coming over. All 17 of us stayed 2 days in the apartment and had a blast. It had just been clean check so we lucked out there! Jake, Amy's husband, just had knee surgery and was on drugs. Lisa, Jonathan s wife had morning sickness. But all in all we had a great time together. <br />
Basketball and the young women's program at church are keeping me busy. Lilly is playing great and the new beginnings talk will be ready by Sunday. <br />
I love chickens, and we have 2 dozen. I baby them all the time and they give me just under 2 dozen eggs a day. Even in all this cold weather. Wish we lived closer and I could share some with all of you! <br />
<br />
Tim, I've been really thinking about cousin Joe. He could really be an asset to your ranch. The thought just won't go away. He is a handi-man and jack of all trades. Call me sometime and we will talk.<br />
<br />
Thank you, Robin! I will love to share our family. I'll even figure out the complicated process of adding pics! Until later, make it a great day! Hey Family, just wanted to share our life in the snow, -5 to -10 every night, gets up to 10 right now. but it is just fun to have the seasons! Cold is cold I've decided. Hope all is well with your families. We visited Jer last week, which I will post some pictures soon, and came home to frozen pipes. Tender Mercies always abound and we did have a broken pipe, but Dana was able to shut off a valve under the house and the pipe that needs to be fixed goes to the outside faucet, so can wait until Spring for repair, and he doesn't have to crawl under the house in 10 degree weather. Love blessings in among-st the challenges. Keep warm! </div>

This year the snow just keeps coming, keeps giving! I am loving it so much, even the cold is not bothering me that much. My nice feather comforter makes up for it at night. I love this season of white, the beauty of the white that glitters in the sun, and the crunch as you walk quietly through the snow. I love the softness of it's look, and the freshness of my face as the cold touches it in the winter months. It just always feels so fresh and light especially after the snow has fallen. It is such a crisp feeling, that I enjoy it while it stays.</div>

Our apple orchard, really Dana is my Johnny Appleseed. I think we have enough apple trees for the entire neighborhood, but when it is time to harvest and we are making cider, I love it. <br />
First of all Merry Christmas to everyone. I find it kind of weird to not be calling up and talking to mom, it was my way of keeping up with what was going on in the family. I guess that was the reasoning behind this blog, and I will try to do better.<br />
<br />
As far as our family we have been really blessed this year and are all doing great. I am still working two jobs, one marketing for my neighbors restoration company, and the other doing water system sales for a big plumbing and AC company and both have been going good. Steph is still doing all her crafty c...(stuff) and just has head full of ideas of what she wants to do next on the house. Its a good thing both of my jobs have been going well. <br />
<br />
Chelsea and Jake are over in Monterrey Calif. and seem like they are having a great time. He is in the languages training for the Air Force and is learning Chinese. We had a bag under the tree this morning when we were opening presents and it had a pregnancy test in it that was positive. I guess we are going to be grandparents, WOW.<br />
<br />
Brittni is still working at US Airways and seems to still really like it, I hope she sticks with it just so we can still travel cheap.<br />
<br />
Ashlee and Hailey are both doing great in school, Ashlee a Junior and Hailey an 8th grader. They both got strait A's again this semester and we are still trying to figure out if they are really are kids sometimes because neither of us got grades like that. They are both doing club volleyball and Ashlee even made the 18's traveling team, so she gets to go to Hawaii and Colorado for tournaments.<br />
<br />
Hope everyone is doing great and know that we love and appreciate all of you. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year<br />

I know this is old hat for many of you - but this will be our first! Lauren is getting bigger and more miserable by the day and really wants this little guy out! I don't think he will be a little guy though - sorry Lauren. She is due on the 20th and we leave for the states on the 15th. I hope she holds him in until we get there : )<br />
This are busy as ever over here, but we are really enjoying being here at Christmas time. We love the Christmas Markets and are trying to get in as many as we can be for the 15th. Anything anyone needs? Let me know now. Mark is working on the Christmas letter tonight so that should be coming soon. <br />
We have gotten snow three times now and yet there is none on the ground. Lots of folks are sad about that but I am not one of them. I love the heat! The hotter the better and I just survive the winter and wait for Spring. I don't know how I survived Idaho all those years! <br />
I get to attend our 1st counselors wedding in the Memphis temple when I am there! He is 61 and has never been married and is completely excited. I will be with her and Matt will be one of the witnesses! Small world for sure.<br />
Well it is late here and I must be to work very early tomorrow so I will say farewell and pray that I did this thing correct! Robin let me know if not.<br />
Love you all and hope you are getting to relax and feel the Christmas Spirit in your homes and lives.<br />
Love Heather and MarkAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18096288583912532040noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1053616329762445418.post-62810995993073606842012-11-25T17:45:00.001-07:002012-11-25T17:47:39.300-07:00Crawfords in Alaska<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Hey there! This is Paige (Ryan's wife). We're up in Wasilla visiting with Josh and Robyn and we were just introduced to this site. Ryan just got home from Afghanistan and he still cannot, write, spell, or verbalize his feelings. Ergo, it'll probably be me who will be making our little family updates.<br />
We hope everyone is doing well and we'll be sure to give a more detailed update later!<br />

Hello all,<br />
<br />
We are in Wasilla, Alaska for the next few weeks, and for Thanksgiving with Josh and Robyn and thier family. Long day getting up here, but the view is so beautiful here especially in the snow. It is a bit cold, I sit here writing this wearing my long johns, my wool sweater, socks, and a scarf around my neck! Ok, so Dana is just wearing a sweater and a jacket when we go out. So if he puts anything extra on it is cold, I'm just colder.<br />
<br />
We went to 2 basketball games last night, the last of the games for Gabe and Luke for this years season. They were so cute out there, both the smallest on the team, arms up to block the ball, wasn't doing much good with the tall boys, but they are great sports and love running up and down the court to engage with the ball. This evening was fun with them, and the night air even colder with the wind blowing. Mmmmm, very glad we live in Utah weather, not that it is much warmer, but it is somewhat warmer.<br />
<br />
Ali and I worked together at the kitchen table, I with a scrapbook page that sat on the floor of my scrapbook room for 5 months, I can't figure out what to do with it, and she with her homework. We talked about Ciaphus for a few minutes, and what she was learning in one of her classes. Just alittle different thinking that how we believe, which was why she questioned it. She is learning about Jews, Christians, and Muslims. I asked her the difference between them, she has a pretty good idea of what that is. Such a fun girl getting her homework done during the games too. I often forget how smart these kids are. All 3 of them work at getting the homework done, no TV or video games until all this is done. Better parents than I was for sure.<br />
<br />
The view out the sliding glass door to the back yard is so spectacular. Tall trees and Christmas trees are just steps away from the back door. There is a fabulous tree with red berries all over it. I want one of these in my yard. So awesome! The feel of the outdoors is breathtaking, which is why I think Josh and Robyn love living here so much, along with the hunting. It snowed the day we arrived, so there is snow on the ground everywhere, just not deep yet. Life is feeling relaxed for us which is good, we are needing it.<br />
<br />
Ciao,<br />
<br />

I bet that doesn't even surprise anyone. Well first off thank you all for the good time we had together at moms farwell. It really was great to be part of a family that just got along and didn't get in some big tiff over things. We have been staying busy around here for the last while getting things ready for guest to come to our guest ranch. I am not a carpenter by any means but it has been fun learning as we have built a headquarters. and a cabin for our cow camp. We have a sawmill (A small one), I don't think we will put boise cascade out of bussiness or anything, but we did cut all the lumber for our cow camp cabin with it. Suz is feeling a quite a bit better now. She was out riding with me today while we were checking calves. That is the first time she has felt like being on a horse in a couple months. We got a good surprise yesterday, our webpage, oregonguestranch.com has climbed the ladder to the 2nd page on a google search. That is amazing when just a few months ago we were not in the first 70 pages. I thank everyone that has helped us get there. I know it has something to do with everybody going and looking at it. We certainly appericate the "likes" . Dan is waiting on his mission call, hopfully we can fill in that blank in a week or two. We are excited about a family reunion. I look forward to it and hopfully this will get us knowing each other so we can all have fun at it. Well I am getting cramps in my two fingers so thats all for now<br />

Happy Halloween!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well I don't have much to report.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are the recent pics of my family.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My children are 18, so they feel they don't need to report in until the age of 24 (or at least that is what I have been told).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cortney works everyday. He roofs, paves, drives truck and irritates whomever catches his eye for the day. It is pretty funny, although we shouldn't encourage him.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I (Rachel) just work on The Robins Nest stuff, and Angelic Imaging stuff, and pharmacy stuff. Right now I am making Christmas cards for a boutique coming up, a new catalog with card kits and tag kits for the upcoming year, a dew drop covered Christmas take with a modern Rachel twist on it, getting ready to make baked mac-n-cheese with Halloween noodles (courtesy of my mother...THANKS MOM), wiping the slobber off of my adorable puppy, and avoiding the pharmacy phone call because they want me to come in and work.... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Not much, I think I will mow the lawn today too before the first snow flies.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next time I will be better at having more info, the padres didn't give me huge amounts of time to decide what I wanted to share, and I am not the greatest about sharing anything in my personal life. Soooo, next time... :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a superb day!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello OCrowley Family Members,<br />
<br />
This blog is to help all of us stay in touch! <br />
<br />
It you are a spouse, child, or grand child of Dana, Tim, Holly, Andy, or Heather, you are an important member of our family. We want to hear from you! We want to know what is happening in your family! We want to be close, help each other, and be great OCrowley's!<br />
<br />
The ultimate goal is to have each family post on the blog at least once a month. So... a post from Dana, Tim, Holly, Andy, or Heather's family each once a month. You can assign a family member to post, or you can post for them and tell about them. I'm thinking it would be fun to learn about all the kids of the parents, each one taking a month and tell us about them. This means there should be at least 5 posts a month. You may post more than that if you desire.<br />
<br />
I will need an email from each family, i.e. children who will post, so that I can include them in our approved emails to post from.<br />
<br />
We have just started a new era in our family. Let's get it going and enjoy each other. <br />
<br />
Pictures are very important! Please post pics when you post, they can be loaded from your phone or camera or computer, don't forget to do this. If.... you need your own private tutorial, text me and I will set up a time when I can help you learn how to post.<br />
<br />
I post on 2 other blogs, our business blog chatteringrobins.blogspot.com and my personal blog robinscreationsofjoy.blogspot.com You are welcome to view either of these blogs to see what blog posts look like.<br />
<br />
Love you all,<br />
Ciao,<br />
<br />
Robin<br />
